Bio

Matt is a professional guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer based in the New York metropolitan area where he grew up. A highly versatile musician, Matt freelances around NYC as a live performer and session musician playing all types of guitars as well as banjo, mandolin, ukulele, bass, piano/keyboards along with a variety of world instruments. In addition, from his studio, Matt records music across many genres, composes scores, and consults companies creating commercial music for advertising and internal multimedia. He also records and produces music for a variety of artists ranging from singer-songwriters to film and musical theater composers.

In 2011, at age 19, Matt's unique skillset and versatility led him to the opportunity to play guitar as a substitute in the orchestra of his first Broadway show. Soon after, he began touring full-time playing in venues across North America with Broadway musical productions such as Flashdance The Musical (2013-2014), Dirty Dancing — The Classic Story Onstage (2014-2017), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (2017-2018) and the Tony Award-Winning musical Dear Evan Hansen (2018-2023). Most recently, in New York City, Matt performed nightly on the Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen featuring the music of Alicia Keys. In addition, Matt has regularly performed as a substitute guitarists on Broadway productions such as The Outsiders, Death Becomes Her, Back to the Future, and & Juliet.

In addition to performing as a multi-instrumentalist, Matt is a composer/producer working out of his home studio in New York.  He has written, produced and recorded music for short films, music videos, corporate media and independent artists. Matt also composes and produces music specialized in licensing for film, advertising and a variety of other media such as podcasts and documentaries. He also plays studio sessions for artists across multiple genres. Matt enjoys being an educator, having taught private and group lessons to students of all ages for over a decade.
